FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Health District Announces H1N1 Vaccination Clinic The Central Connecticut Health District will be holding a series of free H1N1 vaccination clinics with the next clinic scheduled for Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Wethersfield Community Center, 30 Greenfield Street, Wethersfield, CT from 4 PM to 7 PM. Registration is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Individuals must be within one of the following priority groups to register: Injected vaccine will be available for the following priority groups: -Pregnant women -Household contacts and caregivers of infants less than 6 months of age -All children aged 6 months through 6 years -Individuals aged 7 through 64 years with high risk chronic medical conditions -School nurses Nasal mist vaccine will be available for the following priority groups: - healthy children aged 2 through 24 years - healthy household contacts and caregivers (who are 49 years old and younger) of infants who are 6 months of age or younger (NOTE: Nasal mist is NOT available for people with chronic diseases.) Residents of Berlin, Newington, Rocky Hill, and Wethersfield who fall into any of the above targeted priority groups and who would like to receive the H1N1 vaccination may register by calling (860)721-2815. Registration is by telephone only and all requested information must be provided. Registration will be confirmed via a recorded telephone message. Participants are encouraged to download and complete the appropriate vaccination form (either nasal spray or injection) from the Health District’s website: www.ccthd.org. Forms will also be available at the clinic.
