When bad weather or some other significant reason causes an unscheduled early closing of schools, it will be on the following EMERGENCY DISMISSAL TIME schedule found on the bottom of page 6 of the Reference Guide. On days of this nature, afternoon kindergarten and PM pre-school will also be canceled. For those who may have misplaced our Reference Guide, our Emergency Dismissal Time schedule is as follows:
In the event that you need another copy of our Reference Guide, please request one from office personnel in any of our schools. If it is more convenient, you may also pick up a copy at the Board of Education offices located in the Berlin Town Hall Complex or download it from here in Adobe Acrobat format.. Finally, this information will be recorded on the district’s website, which can be found at www.Berlinschools.org. Although currently under reconstruction, this site will, in the very near future, contain pertinent and up-to-date information. Our website will also contain an up-to-date announcement if and when the Emergency Dismissal Schedule is activated because of bad weather or some other significant reason that develops after schools have opened for the day. The website will not contain up-to-date information regarding unscheduled school closings or late openings. Please refer to our Reference Guide for information regarding announcements of this nature.
