DIRECTIONS TO BERLIN BOARD OF EDUCATION

 From INTERSTATE 91 NORTH OR SOUTH:

1. Take Exit 22N (Route 9 North).
2. Take Exit 24 (left hand Exit) to 71/372 Kensington and stay to the right.
3. Take 1st Exit on right, Route 71 Kensington (Willow Brook Park Exit).
4. Turn left at the light.  Go straight through 2 traffic lights and 1 stop sign (approximately 1.5 miles).
5. Board of Education will be on right side.

 From INTERSTATE 84 WEST:

1.  Take Exit 39A (Route 9 South~Newington/New Britain)
2. ***Take Exit 23 Christian Lane.  At the end of the Exit take a right onto Christian Lane.
3. Go straight through all stop signs and traffic lights.
4. At stop sign (you can’t go any further) take a left onto Four Rod Road.
5. Take first right over Camels Back.  At stop sign take a left onto Kensington Road.
6. Board of Education will be on right side.

From INTERSTATE 84 EAST:

Take Route 72 East.

Then Proceed from *** above.

From BERLIN TURNPIKE SOUTH:

1. Take a right onto Deming Road.  (Home Depot/SAMS on left & Construction of new CVS on right)
2. Take a left onto Christian Lane.  Go straight through all stop signs and traffic lights.
3. At stop sign (you can’t go any further) take a left onto Four Rod Road.
4. Take first right over Camels Back.  At stop sign take a left onto Kensington Road.
5. Board of Education will be on right side.

From BERLIN TURNPIKE NORTH:

1. Follow Berlin Turnpike North. (After Sage Park) At light take a left onto Middletown Road.
2. At Stop Sign take a right onto Worthington Ridge. 
3. At Stop Sign take left onto Hudson Street. 
4. At next stop sign, Hudson Street becomes Norton Road.  Willard School is on left & McGee School is on right. 
5. At Stop Sign continue straight. 
6. At next Stop Sign turn right onto Kensington Road.
7. Board of Education will be on left side.

From INTERSTATE 691 EAST:

1. Exit 5 (Chamberlain Highway Route 71).  At end of Exit take a left onto Chamberlain Highway. 
2. Continue straight to stop light (approximately 3.9 miles). 
3. Take 1^st right after light onto Norton Road. 
4. At the 2^nd stop sign take a left onto Kensington Road. Board of Education will be on left side.

WHERE TO PARK

Board of Education Complex (Berlin Town Hall/Library/Police Department/Community Center)

·         Turn into and continue up driveway. 

·         First left into parking lot.  Proceed through parking lot to Board of Education Offices.

Visitors’ parking is available opposite the Board of Education.

DIRECTIONS TO BERLIN HIGH SCHOOL

From Route 84: (New Britain)

Take Exit 35 to Route 72 East to Route 9 South. Take Exit 22 (Mill Street). At stop light, take right onto Worthington Ridge. Right onto School Street to stop sign. Straight across to Patterson Way - school is on left.

From Route 84: (West Hartford, Farmington, Newington)

Take Exit 39A to Route 9 South. Take Exit 22 (Mill Street). At stop light, take right onto Worthington Ridge. Right onto School Street to stop sign. Straight across to Patterson Way - school is on left.

From Route 91: (North or South)

Take Route 9 north exit. Follow Rt. 9 to Berlin. Take second Berlin exit (Exit 22 marked Route 5-15). Take right at end of ramp. At next light take a right onto Worthington Ridge. Take right on School Street to stop sign. Straight across to Patterson Way. School is on left.

From Route 5 and 15: (Hartford)

South on 5 and 15 - Take Berlin exit onto Worthington Ridge. Continue through lights on Worthington Ridge. Take right onto School Street to stop sign - straight across to Patterson Way. School is on left.

From Meriden:

Follow Route 15 into Berlin. Go past the Hawthorne Restaurant to the 4th traffic light (fire station on right). Take left (45 degree angle turn) onto Worthington Ridge. Continue to Farmington Avenue small rotary and monument on left. Take left onto Farmington Avenue and go to stop sign at bottom of the hill. Take left onto Patterson Way. School is on left.

DIRECTIONS TO GRISWOLD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Take I-91 to Exit 22N (Rt. 9).
Travel approximately 4 miles on Rt. 9 (becomes Rt. 72) to fork in road for I-84/Rt. 72
connector. At this point bear left for Rt. 71.
After bearing left at fork, continue straight for approximately 2/3 mile to traffic light
which you approach from the extreme left-hand lane.
At light turn left onto Rt. 71A (High Road). Continue on High Road approximately 1⁄2
mile to Gladding Place (just before Mobil Gas Station and across from Kinder-Care
Learning Center).
Turn left into Gladding Place and take first left onto Beechwood Lane. At end of
Beechwood Lane, turn left into the Griswold School parking lot.

From Route 84 East
Take Exit 35/Rt 72. Then take Exit 7 (Rt. 372/Corbin Ave.) Right onto Corbin Ave. for
1.5 miles. Bear right at split in road to 71A, stay to the right. At stop sign, right onto
Chamberlain Hgwy. For .7 mile. Left at Mobil Gas Station (Gladding place). First left
onto Beechwood Lane. At next stop sign turn left to Griswold School

From Route 84 West
Take Exit 35/New Britain/Rt 72. Then take Exit 7 (Corbin Ave.) Right onto Corbin Ave.
372E) Continue (372E) for 1.5 miles to 71A (South) Right onto 71A. Follow .7 mile. To
Mobil Gas Station (Gladding place). First left to Mobil Gas Station, Left to Gladding
Place. Next left to Beechwood Lane. At stop sign, left to Griswold School

Take Interstate 84 West to Rte. 72 East, which turns into Rte. 9 South.
Take Exit 22 (Mill Street). At the end of the exit, take a left.
At the traffic light, take a right onto Rte. 372.
Go straight through the next 3 traffic lights.
Take your first left onto Grove Street. (Hubbard School sign is posted.)
Continue on Grove Street. Hubbard School is on the left.

FROM INTERSTATE 91 NORTH:
Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 21.
At the light go right onto Route 372 West.
Go through 2 stoplights.
At the 3rd stoplight, go right onto Main Street (East Berlin).
At the first stop sign take a left onto Grove Street.
Continue on Grove Street. Hubbard School is on the right.

FROM INTERSTATE 91 SOUTH:
Take Interstate 91 South to Exit 22 North (Route 9).
Take Route 9 to Exit 21 (East Berlin, Route 372).
Take a left at the end of the exit.
Go through 2 stoplights.
After the 2nd stoplight, take a left onto Grove Street. (Hubbard School sign is posted).
Continue on Grove Street. Hubbard School is on the left.

proceed to end of ramp. Turn right. Proceed 50 yds. to next light and turn right
onto Worthington Ridge.
Proceed straight through next light (center lane) on Worthington Ridge for about
¼ mile. Turn right onto Hudson Street. Straight on Hudson (which becomes
Norton Road at first stop sign). About ¼ mile on right is McGee Middle School.

DIRECTIONS TO MCGEE MIDDLE SCHOOL
USING I-84 (EAST OR WEST)
Take I-84 to Rt. 9 South Exit for New Britain/Middletown.
Continue on Rt. 9 South through New Britain to Exit #23, Christian Lane in Berlin
(a right lane exit).
At end of ramp, turn right onto Christian Lane. Continue straight through next
stop sign. Road now called Porters Pass.
Continue straight through next traffic light. Road now called Burnham Street.
At end of Burnham Street, turn left onto Four Rod Road.
Continue on Four Rod Road about one mile to Norton Road.
Take left onto Norton Road. About 200 yds. on left is McGee Middle School.

Take I-91 to Exit 22N (Route 9 North)
Travel approximately 3 miles on Route 9 to Exit 22. Take Exit 22 off Rt. 9 and proceed to
end of ramp. Turn right. Proceed 50 yds. to next light and turn right onto Worthington
Ridge.
Proceed straight through next light (center lane) on Worthington Ridge for about 1⁄4 mile.
Turn right onto Hudson Street. Straight on Hudson (which becomes Norton Road at first
stop sign). About 100 Yards on left is Willard Elementary School.

USING I-84 (EAST OR WEST)
Take I-84 to Rt. 9 South Exit for New Britain/Middletown.
Continue on Rt. 9 South through New Britain to Exit #23, Christian Lane in Berlin (a right
lane exit).
At end of ramp, turn right onto Christian Lane. Continue straight through next stop sign.
Road now called Porters Pass.
Continue straight through next traffic light. Road now called Burnham Street.
At end of Burnham Street, turn left onto Four Rod Road.
Continue on Four Rod Road about one mile to Norton Road.
Take left onto Norton Road. About 1⁄4 Mile on right is Willard Elementary School.
